I wanted Fast-Track 2.I showed the Turtle Bros at Champion Stadium some weeks ago but the sustainability of a party is better displayed on a 3v9. Hilda is relatively easy as it is but I like this as a prime example on how a single multiplier (Rain Dance) turns a 180 on the viability of a unit, what with Marlon doing a casual 7000 damage when set-up right. Marlon! Obviously you should use Barry, SS Grimsley or whomever instead but caring about the little details (Lucky Skills, Gears, Type Skills) makes a huge difference in lieu of whaling for 5* 20/20 units.I can’t say much regarding this lineup I didn’t mention at the Marlon showcase (https://youtu.be/k75L28xbr1g) except +144 HP from Type Skills turns everyone into mega chonkers. SS Blue really appreciates Rain because the 50% multiplier gets further augmented by Raging Rain 3. FueBoomer does have a showcase with his super beefed up 6*EX CS2 SS Blue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCDIcuZJ6q8) so you can see how mines pales in comparison to one set-up properly.SS Blue’s grid was tricky. I wanted as much Rain utility as possible for the showcase but unfortunately I could only afford to fit Raging Rain 3. Trainer Move Pep Rally + MPR is borderline mandatory for any SS Blue build. I went for Team Fist Bump over Refreshing Rain/Team Triage Tank because I more often attack outside Rain and, accounting denials, Team Fist Bump yields the most global recovery for the party. Hydro Cannon Accuracy +10 is necessary because missing a 4 bar move is prohibitively expensive. The battle starts slow until I stack up enough sync buffs and once Wartortle sets-up Rain the real party begins. This is why I picked Quick Cure for SS Blue; knowing the front row was staying around the only status I’m unable to denial is Jumpluff’s Infestation. Wartortle’s Confusion also helped in this ordeal and an added perk of Confusion is that it adds a ton of extra animations to stall for gauge. I played most of the battle on slow speed to measure my gauge a little better; given the lack of MGRs I need every drop of gauge I can get.I have the nagging feeling I once promised to show the Blastoise Bros in action, so hope I made it justice.I stream Pokémon Masters sometimes: https://www.twitch.tv/zinfogel
