Status Deflection works different from Marley’s Trainer Move where Marley protects and removes any status condition. Status Deflection can only bounce back status moves (so things like Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp, but not secondary effects like Fire Blast’s Burn).People have been using Wallace as a tank just for the purpose of bouncing back Poison Gas, which is perfectly fine, but I wanted to use him as primary offense. I can’t say more than what I’ve said when I first featured this team on this showcase: https://youtu.be/lZU1yBkfSrgThe Mismagius was a massive obstacle. They REALLY wanted you to use Furbert for this because the Mismagius has titanic special bulk, and by proxy Cheren became a good workaround. I spent half the battle trying to kill Mismagius but from there it’s smooth sailing. Most of Viola’s Sp.Atk drops go to waste because the one time Mismagius attacks after syncing it has sure crit. ¯_(ツ)_/¯Unfortunately I didn’t have very many chances to use Mirror Coat. This battle is strange in that, even if there’s lots of special attacks, they are so far in between I can’t really time Mirror Coat without sacrificing sync countdown.I stream Pokémon Masters sometimes: https://www.twitch.tv/zinfogel
