I love how Furbert is just the common denomination now. owo

Suffice to say Furbert is a complete monster and, dare I say, one step below Red. His trainer move integrates Speed and Dire Hit+, Double Edge is criminally strong, Crunch doesn’t murder him and Carry On passively maxes his Attack without clicking X Attack once. His grid includes 2 amazing multipliers in Ramming Speed + Insult to Injury, Haymaker, First Aid 4 and 2 Standfast tiles. Spur On 4 turns him into a gauge battery so you could run him with Lance tbh. Totally self-sufficient striker with very few downsides.

When I first saw his kit I predicted Double Edge to be a staple. Truth is, Furbert will always have issues with recoil because he lacks the recovery tools Hilda and Elesa possess so that makes him dependent on third party healing. Double Edge is still perfectly viable but you should NEVER attack a center mon with it. It’s moreso a tool to cleanly KO sides when needed.

In this showcase I have 1/5 Furbert take care of everything and just augment his offense. Even without his complete toolkit he eviscerates this battle. Type advantage helps, but Full-Forces have so much HP these days it takes serious effort to clean them with this efficiency.

Nanu in particular is a fantastic Furbert partner because 1) Type Skills, 2) Quick Defense drops, 3) Activates Insult to Injury. Skyla is the perfect fit to cap Ramming Speed and have Potions ready in case Mightyena plays too hard with his prey.

I may use a candy on Furbert. I already spent all my gems pulling him and Acerola (No Acerola yet unfortunately) so idk if I’ll push for another copy on the pool. If you want my opinion on Furbert, he is really good but if you have Red you can skip. Strikers aren’t as needed in this game as you might think, especially with Iris being an already proven F2P alternative to Furbert.

Samurott be rolling in his grave.
